It takes a lot for me to buy a new album. Like, A LOT. I like new music that people introduce me to, I really do. But that's usually as far as it goes. I am rarely moved to the point of making an online purchase.
With that being said, I'd like you to stop everything you're doing and take a little listen. Indulge yourself. You deserve it.
Morning Comes
My sister in law introduced me to this group over Christmas. I really liked what I heard and then went on my merry way. Then I heard a song that I loved on an episode of Parenthood (if you're not watching this show, you should be. I can't get through one episode without crying-in a good way. Tyson has to remind me on a regular basis that these people are not real, not my friends, and definitely not my family). I looked the song up and it was Dance in the Graveyards. I bought that song on itunes, you tubed the rest of their stuff and listened to it on repeat for about a week and a half before I decided I would like to contribute monetarily to their musical success.
Dance in the Graveyards
I'm not really sure what my hang-up is with new music. It's not that I don't think it's good enough, I guess I just feel like I need to commit to my artists and I'm not willing to establish a relationship with just anybody. Also, I'm pretty content with my go-to music selection of Celine Dion, The Dixie Chicks, and just about any Broadway Musical on the planet.
Bottom of the River
So... check this group out. I won't be offended if you don't like them as much as I do, but if you don't, it would probably best if you just kept that to yourself. Enjoy!
